Domain Join

Joining Server to domain

Select Option 1 and press enter:-



Type “D” for domain and press enter,
Enter the Domain name & the Account having Domain join Rights.



Enter the credentials for the account:-



Machine asks for computer name change click “No” (as we have already changed the name of the machine).



Click “Yes” to restart the machine:-



After the domain is joined, the domain named will be shown in the main console:-



Connecting this machine (Domain Joined) from:-

Windows 8 Enterprise Machine

Right click on the hyper-V console on a Windows 8 machine & select connect to server:-
(Details about enabling Hyper-v Role in Windows 8 Machine is explained here)



Enter the Computer name & click OK:-



After this we will be able to connect to the Hyper-V server 2012, and use the server for creating machines.
We can create machines, Network all the hyper-V features will be present here:-



Windows 7 machine

In a windows 7 machine we need to install RSAT and Enable Hyper-V role (to do this click here)
Open Hyper-V Console, Right Click & select Connect to server:-



Enter the name of the machine & click OK.



Now we can work on the machine, each machine created will use the disk space & resources of Hyper-V server 2012.
